Forlì-Cesena is at the top of the classification, then Parma, Biella, Piacenza e Savona. 5 Provinces of Emilia Romagna are in the first 10th.
The Report- According to the Report about quality in Italian schools realized by the magazine for teachers, students and families Tuttoscuola, Emilia Romagna’s Region is the best in Italy. The Report has collected datas from Minister of Education, Minister of the Interior, Istat and has valued the quality of all the italian schools in 5 parameters: structure and resources, organization and service, school staff, standard education and students results.
The classification- At the first 10th there are also Reggio Emilia (9th) and Ravenna (10th) from Emilia Romagna, whereas Bologna is 31th. The unique province of South Italy in the first 10th is Macerata. At the end of classification the schools of Nuoro, Sassari, Oristano and Lucca.
In the group of big cities Milano is the 7th, Torino 12th, Ancona 13th , Roma 46th, whereas Napoli, Palermo and Cagliari are the last.
In the group of Regions the first place is for Emilia Romagna, then Lombardia, Marche, Piemonte and Friuli. At the end of classification there are Sicilia, Sardegna, Campania and -unexpected outcome!- Toscana (with Firenze 78th!).
North and South Italy- There are many difference between North and South Italy. According to the Report the best schools are in North/North West whereas in South there are the worst.
Probably this is due to the services for students and families, for example the full time. In Napoli and Palermo only 2 schools on 100 give this service whereas in Milano 90 on 100.And also the canteen services are poor in South.
But in some fields of the Report also the South has the best valuations. For example the Region of Puglia has the best information technology, whereas the best students (with the best results) are in Crotone.
