

On 7th of June in Riccione the XIII edition of the Ilaria Alpi’s Prize (Ilaria Alpi was a journalist of RAI who has been killed with her operator Miran Hrovatin in Mogadiscio in 1994, during a war report) has been inaugurated with three exhibitions that show life and pain of distant people that are too often neglected from our media.
The first exhibition “From Africa. Pictures and poetry from a report” shows 40 photos and writings of Ryszard Kapuscinski, a journalist who has won Ilaria Alpi’s Prize for career and recently died. His evocative photos and vivid reports describe his 40 years in Africa and the transformation of this country.
The second exhibition “Kashmir-Afghanistan” collects all the photos of Gabriel Torsello, a journalist who has been kidnapped in Afghanistan last year. The photos, posters and the Dvd point out life, pain and hopes of Afghanistan and Kashmir people to emphasize the importance of a multicultural prospective and to establish a peaceful and multicultural dialogue.
The third exhibition “Dammi un… zero, sette!!! Millenium Exhibition” has the aim to remind people and local institution the promise of 189 Leaders of Countries to try to eliminate poverty, to rise the social access to the services and to promote peace, human rights and protection of the environment by the year 2015.
The first and the second exhibitions will be open until 14th of June in Palazzo del Turismo, in Riccione; the third one will be open in front of the Palace until tomorrow.
