Municipality of Piacenza helps women victims of sexual exploitation
The municipality of Piacenza is offering legal aid to women victims of sexual exploitation and reduced to slavery.
Thanks to the support of the Emila Romagna Region, a legal expert, near to Social Service and to the legal culture, will help victims of these crimes. Piacenza is one of the few municipality in Italy which offers this service.
Moreover the project (realized with 70%of the State contribution and with 30%of regional and municipal contribuition) provides also for social assistance for the victims: such as a new house, a new work, a residence permit for foreigners and psychological and medical assistance thanks to the Social Service who will support them for building a new life.
The project represents a great opportunity on the one hand to fight against slavery and violence and on the other to protect women.
